Performance
An indicator of the barrier performance of aluminum foil is its water vapor transmission rate (WVTR). Polyethylene with a thickness of 125um can diffuse water vapor and corrosive gases at a rate of up to 4gms/m²/24hrs.
In the heat-sealed aluminum foil bag/liner, a certain amount of desiccant can be added to ensure that the relative humidity (RH) is kept at a level far below 40% (the starting point of corrosion).
